Decoupaged Calvin and Hobbes Night Stand

Ok...let's try this again since my post somehow got deleted...

My darling Hubbykins LOVES Calvin and Hobbes, so I made this for him as a late 6th wedding anniversary gift.

Materials needed:

Pictures or comic strips

Mod Podge

Paint brushes

electrical tape

Cut out the pictures that you are going to use for your night stand/ other surface.

Make sure your surface is clean and lay out the pictures in the places you want them.

Take pictures of your progress in case the pictures fall or get shuffled.

There were some on my table that were put together very carefully, so I used a glue stick to hold them in place before I Mod Podged the table.

Cover the entire surface with an even coat of Mod Podge.

Lay out your pictures where you want them. Smooth them with a craft stick to eliminate any air bubbles.

Cut any hanging edges from the table.

Let the table dry for 15 minutes and paint a thick, even layer of Mod Podge over the pictures. Use a warm, damp cloth to smooth out the surface. Let the first layer dry and cover with another layer. 

Continue to coat with Mod Podge until you can no longer feel the edges of the pictures.

Tightly wrap the edges of the table with electrical tape to give it a smooth, finished appearance.

Let dry over night before using the table.
